Default Under the highest level protection

ID: Crab spider(Thomisidae) over its egg(sac?)

Spotted this beauty perched inside a curled up leaf/blade of the bamboo shoot. On close observation released that it seemed to be protecting the egg(sac?) that it had carefully laid inside. The parent didnt even move when we approached to frame it, but once we moved away, not sure if to be cautious, it surveyed the surrounding and cautiously headed back to the same position. The way its eyes popped out, while inside the curled blade was very interesting and almost resembled an octopus

The eyes are sharp. The lower portion (legs in the front) look different in colour than the face, is it another spider? Liked the frame. Nice spotting and capture. Thanks for sharing.

Lovely composition. The frame within a frame looks nice. It is difficult to get more depth of field at such close distances. What aperture were you using? Thanks for sharing.

Due to the colour difference it feels like two different spiders, but it was one and the same
