This image was created in Keoladeo Ghana National Park, Bharatpur. I was on my way out when this one came and sat on a road side bush. My 400mm lens was coupled with the 2x. I had to backoff to get the complete bird in the frame.

Canon EOS 50D, Canon EF 400mm f2.8 L IS USM, EF 2xII, ISO 800, f8, 1/500, full frame. Comments and critiques welcome.

Very nice.... especially love the DOF. The spider web below also adds to the effect. Wish you would have got the talons of the bird though....

I agree with you. If the feet were visible then it would have been nice.

I had tried to eliminate the leaf on the left as it is bit of distraction. But the leaf was too close to the tail, so I had to include it in the frame while photographing. I don't clone. So I try to get the composition right in the field.
