Default Some athletic posture for the nectar

    ID: Iridescent Nomia(sweat bees)

One of the commonly seen, tiny, bees usually seen around in the garden areas, this particular ones seemed to be feasting on the fresh flower bloom. While observing, realized that the tiny beast first pecked into the base of the flower, to get some fresh nectar, but before leaving would perform this athletic posture, brushing off its its hind limbs, probably to shed off the pollen that can be seen stuck onto its body. It repeated the same procedure while feasting on couple of more, similar, flowers

Nice image with the bee laden with pollen grains. I am sure beyond a point they need to strike off the excess pollen from their bodies, even though the pollen grains would not be a big percentage of their body weight. Thanks for sharing.

Good details on the Bee and the flowers. The colour of the flowers and also the pollens add to the composition. Bees are so important in the part they play, but often people dont understand/know that. Nice behaviour observed and photographed. Thanks for sharing.
