    Nice specimen. From the hood it seems like a cobra. The focus seems to be on the body. If you had retained the focus on the body then it would have appealed more. thanks for sharing.

    I agree about the focus. A lower angle would have strengthened the composition further. Look forward to more..

    Aah yes. that look s like a Checkered keelback. they are know to mimic cobras by making hoods...

    I like the way the head is light by the streak of sunlight. Wish the head was more in focus.

    Which AF point were you using?

    It often becomes difficult to track the small head of the snake. So the Af locks on to the body. In this case better to use the centre AF point. Focus on the snakes head and then recompose. I hope you are clear about the focus and recompose technique.
