    shot near agumbe..Ayurveda calls this plant as Laangali...the tuberous roots of which are taken for treatment...now a daz the roots are used by the folk practitioners to induce artificial abortion..which is a criminal act as per law..
    Modern medicine people extract an important alkaloid from the root of this plant called Colchicine...

    Beautiful colours and nice details. Its very eye catching. The present composition too works, but tried a vertical to see. Posting it. Let me know what you think. Thanks for sharing the plants information, adds to our knowledge .

    Good information. It helps in understanding the plants better.

    The hint of red in the background is slightly distracting. Some more space in the left and less in the right would have helped in strengthening the image. Focussing on one, as per Mrudul's repost will also help. Look forward to more of these plants along with information.

    I like the vertical version of the image. However would prefer it with a rule of thirds implementation.I like the greens and yellows in the image.
