Homosexuality in animals is a new area in research. Not much is known about it.
However some research has been done and according to that it occurs in about 1500 species including elephants. This includes sex, courtship,affection,pair bonding and parenting.The motivations for and implications of these behaviors have yet to be fully understood.Here is a photograph of two tuskers bonding. Interesting to see that one is sexually aroused.
