Nice composition. The BG is nice and clean. You got a nice perch. A higher shutter speed would have enhanced the image further. Sorry cant help you with the id.

I like that you are trying for a different composition. I would have liked a slight crop from the right. Moving slightly to the left would have helped you in avoiding the highlights in the sky. Thanks for sharing.

Haven't seen this before, but I guess it is a bee. Probably a species of Mason Bee?Unfortunately can't find any images to compare...

Have seen this before... the bees sit for a long time holding the twig with their jaws. No idea about the id , or for the reason why they do this...
