Lovely. Would prefer toning the plumage highlights a bit more. I like the central composition. Thanks for sharing. In N'Pattu, is it possible to go down right to the water level and shoot? It would help get a smoother background I believe. (Taking care that you don't end up tumbling into the water with your equipment)

Lovely image Sabyasachi, the splash of the water has come out well. Are you shooting from a boat?

    Bibhav,
Do you see any blown highlights? The plumage was bright, especially during the bathing sequences.

These Pelican's were getting scared even if I did a small movement. So I was hiding behind trees and a fence. I was stationary for four hours at a stretch. It was not possible to go to the water level. Also, you will get more of trees in the background if you go for a lower angle.

    Cheers,
    Sabyasachi

One more classic photograph from Mark IV. The ruffled feathers and the thousands of water droplets are nicely captured. Thanks for sharing.

@ Sabyasachi: None of the highlights are blown...
Good to hear how you photographed them.

    Thumbs up

Fantastic - the composition with the water droplets, emphasizes the birds actions.
