Looks like a huge fellow. Good photograph.

Using low ISO and lesser shutter speed, will it make any difference here?

I like the low angle here. The background is underexposed and is showing noise. Exposing to the right would help in this case while shooting. Thanks for sharing.

Nice composition. The low angle and the light add to the image. Agree about the noise in the background. The expose to right technique is explained in the thread below-

    Look forward to more.

This image was shot at ISO 400 at 1/1600 shutter speed.

Reducing the ISO by one stop ie. from ISO 400 to ISO 200 would have reduced the shutter speed by one stop i.e from 1/1600 to 1/800 th of second. Typically this would have been sufficient.

There is a rule of thumb for handholding lenses, which says the shutter speed should be 1/focal length. Since the focal length here used was 300mm, the minimum shutter speed should be 1/300th of second. However, one needs to contend with the other variables. For eg. he was photographing from a boat. So one needs a higher shutter speed. In this case, 1/800 should have been ok if the engine of the boat were switched off.

    Cheers,
