Default Near Threatened Rufous Rumped Grassbird

The rufous rumped grassbird is classified as near threatened by IUCN list. It has hardly ever been photographed so far - not because of the rarity of the species but due to the difficulty associated with its sighting.
The bird, along with a few other rarely seen grassbirds and warblers, has been recently discovered in a grassland in Joka. This place is just south of Calcutta where the IIM is located.
This habitat is under threat because the entire area is privately owned (by various owners) and construction is going on in full swing all around.
This photograph taken last Sunday is more of a record shot of the bird (on a heavily overcast morning) in its habitat than anything else. There is minimal crop in the shared image.

    Shooting Mode - Aperture Priority
    Shutter Speed - 1/250
    Aperture Value - 7.1
    Exposure Compensation: -1
    ISO Speed 800
    Focal Length - 400 mm
    White Balance - Daylight

I have the bird call recorded as an MP3, if anyone is interested please let me know. It's a very large file though.
    Regards

I would have preferred the bird be placed at a third's location towards the left. The habitat is shown nicely. Good sighting. Thanks for sharing.

Nice record image. I liked the perch and the habitat displayed. I agree that lot of these species are being ignored and there is not enough documentation about them. Thanks for sharing the information.

Unfortunately, we don't realise the importance of the grasslands, wetlands and other woody areas within or near our towns and cities. With the vanishing habitat, these species will be lost for ever. Thanks for sharing.

@ Mohan Raj - Sorry about the late response to your post. I wish I could post my photograph on wikipedia but I do not really know how to do that. There is some very basic info available about the bird. I am very proud of having been able to record the bird's call as well. Our children will just have to see these photographs and hear the recordings. I don't think they can see them ever.
