    Default Hump nosed pit Viper

This viper was taking rest under a fallen tree when we also decided to take rest by the same tree in the Neyyar wildlife sancturay near Trivandrum. The snake moved but stayed put so that I could take a number of pictures!

    Canon 400D,55-250 IS lens,tripod used,auto mode,shutter 1,aper:13,ISO 100

    Regards

Lovely sighting. I liked the eye contact and the details. The low angle is nice. Could you get the entire snake in the frame? Do post it. Thanks for sharing.

Nice find. Do post a photograph with the entire snake in the frame.

A very beautiful reptile you got there. I found that you have put up the same image in the wikipedia article on the viper. Good that you did so. Link to the wiki article

I agree that including the tail would have been better. Given that you had a shutter speed of 1 sec, it would have been better to up the ISO to arnd 400, that is of course not using the auto mode. Thanks for sharing.

I agree that a higher ISO would have been better. Good that you didn't put a step on it.

    Cheers,
