    Default Agitated Young Tusker

It was a bright sunny evening, the tusker stood under the shade of a big tree near the forest boundary. This young tusker was agitated by human presence and shows dislike by raising its head. Taken near Anaikatti, Coimbatore Forests.

Cropping slightly from the bottom to remove the mound at the bottom right corner would strengthen the composition. Though the tusker is in shade, the trees in the background is in sunlight and looks good. Thanks for sharing.

Head lofted & trunk held still in balance with good eye contact is the best posture a tusker can present.

    Good capture.

Was it taken from a vehicle or from ground ?

Mohan this is really nice, the raised head and alert looking is interesting. Good to see a healthy tusker, where is this place and how far is it from Ooty?

Nice composition. I liked the pose. It surely shows that the jungle belongs to him and not the humans. The trees in the BG look good. Thanks for sharing.

The pose looks lovely. I like the composition as well. The elephant has been exposed well inspite of the bright background. Overall this is nice. thanks for sharing.

Sankar and Praveen, This area is 15 Kms from Coimbatore City centre known as Mangarai after Chinna Thadagam. There are 175+ Brick Klins polluting and destroying the lands here. Brick Klins take up ground water, topsoil, use trees to boil the bricks and pollute air.

The famous SACON is situated close by.
