If it would have been scared by the eagle, then it would have taken off in the other direction. This fellow seems to be trying to irritate/mob the eagle. From this image, I can't guess which bird is it.

I agree with Sabyasachi. I have seen such behaviour before where a smaller bird tries irritate/mob the other bird. I wish the focus was on the eagle. Thanks for sharing.

very nice.... where was this taken....
the pic has a very 'winter' feel to it....
the hawk eagle seems oblivious to the smaller bird..... or totally disinterested..... !!!
