The close up looks nice. Here you have used ISO 100 on a 400D. Increasing the ISO upto 400 would have got you a shutter speed of 1/160 at f/5.6 from the current speed of 1/40. That coupled with proper shooting technique is a better way of getting sharp images. Nice close up. I liked the composition. The eye contact is nice. I agree about increasing the ISO. That would have helped to get a sharper image and better details. Please do check the ISO, aperture and the shutter speed while photographing, and adjust them accordinly. Which mode do you photograph in? If any doubts feel free to ask. Thanks for sharing.

Nice close-up. The composition looks good. Agree about increasing the ISO. Some parts near the back seem to be over exposed.
