    Default Tigress in grassland

    This is from Ranthambhore.

Canon EOS 1D Mark IV, Canon EF 400mm f2.8 L IS USM, EF 2xII, ISO 400, f6.3, 1/60, EV:-1/3, Full frame image. It was very difficult to know whether the AF point was indeed focusing on the tiger or on the grass. So I used the live view, zoomed in to fine tune the focus and then clicked.

    Cheers,
    Sabyasachi

Lovely image Sabyasachi, nice display of the tiger habitat. This is an excellent example for my question that I had asked earlier today, I will surely try out this technique going forward.

On the lighter side your focus has been so precise that collar is nicely visible

Overall an excellent image and excellent use of this technique

Beautiful composition. The habitat is nicely displayed. This scene is recorded in my memory. I remember the way she was observing the deers grazing near the lake. Nicely captured. Thanks for sharing.

Very well captured and well composed.
Lucky to have sighted it for a while!
