    Default White-throated Fantail

White-throated Fantail (Rhipidura albicollis albicollis). River Kosi, Dhikuli, Corbett National Park

A fascinating little bird. Very fast and very difficult to shoot until you study them for a bit. By the way albicollis means 'white neck.'

EOS 40D, 500f4 IS + 1.4x II converter, on Aperture Priority at ISO 400, Gitzo Series 6 with Wimberly II. Processed in Breezebrowser and CS2.

Thanks for looking, comments and critique welcome.

Nice. I like the low angle and the greens in the image. Nice pose too.

Beautiful. I liked the open feathers and the low angle. The pose is nice. The water with the moss looks good. What was the shutter speed? Seems it was his regular spot to drink water . Look forward to more.

I like the colours and the pose. The wings create a kind of diagonal placement. Could you catch it while drinking? Good to see you using a tripod for a change.

Thanks for sharing. Look forward to more.

Lovely pose. Wish it were facing a bit more towards you. Good image nonetheless. Thanks for sharing. What was the shutter speed?
