    Photographed this at Ranganathittu two months back.

    Canon 50D, 100-400mm L IS USM, ISO 200, 1/250, f8, hand held.

    Nice shot... Nice clean BG. The texture on the feathers looks good. The head turn adds. Would prefer the bird placed slightly lower in the frame. I think you could tone down the whites a bit.

    Nice head turn. The eye has come out well. The whites are not blown, but lowering the brightness a bit wont hurt. Thanks for sharing.

    Lovely bird.

    A very common visitor and resident once plentifully found in my village which is right on the banks of Cauvery river. But, that is now history.

    Terns no longer visit as the sand mining is rampant and egg poaching is high. Water has become murky. They are now confined to few protected spots.

    Lovely image, nice head turn, great eye contact and good details. The colors too have come out well, however the whites on the neck have blown out.

    I think you have to pull the whites a bit.
