I like the composition. The vegetation has come out well. Light seems to be pretty bad. Thanks for sharing.

    Cheers,

Lovely compo. I like the contrasting colours of the elephant and the vegetation. Wish the one behind it were absent. Nicely done considering the conditions. TFS.

Lovely composition. Its good to see you have tried some nice environment photographs in this trip. I liked the details and the greens in the BG. You got it nicely in the tough conditions. Do post the calf images. Thanks for sharing.

    Default Nice and clean

Good sharp image.Little different composition than one normally do while photographing elephants. The vegetation also has come out good as pointed out by Sabyasachi.

Praveen;Do you have some tripods lying idle in your house.Give it to me for free......(You dont seem to use it!)

    Praveen,
The more gadgets I possess, the greater are the problems I face, I mean dropping lenses etc. I had one Manfrotto traveller tripod. It started creaking and groaning under the weight of my 400 f2.8 lens. So gave it to a friend. At the moment using the Gitzo tripod. In 1996 I had bought a heavy aluminimum tripod. It was using it for portraits and landscapes at that time. But was proving to be too heavy to take out from my house. I hope my mom hasn't given it to someone, as I haven't used it for a long long time. Will have to buy a tripod sometime for video work.

    Sankar,
Praveen seems to be working out in his Gym. He is much more fitter than me. I guess that is how he is managing handholding.
