    Default Pelican wing flap

Pelecanus philippensis at Nelapattu bird sanctuary, Andhra Pradesh.

I was amused to see it flap its wings like a duck.

    Canon EOS 1D Mark IV, Canon EF 400mm f2.8 L IS USM, EF2xII, ISO 1000, f9, 1/3200, EV: -1/3. Gitzo, wimberly v2 head.

    Cheers,
    Sabyasachi

The pose is lovely. I like the details in the wings. The composition is nice. A bit less space at the bottom and more at the top might have been better. Thanks for sharing. When did you click this?

Beautiful action. I liked the wing position. The details in the wings and the water drops freezed in the air look good. The reflection completes the composition. I prefer the present composition as less space in the bottom would have cut the reflection. Thanks for sharing.

Nice capture Sabyasachi, perhaps it needs a bit more brightness.

Wow! Lovely image Sabyasachi, the open wings has come out well. The details too on the wings are good and so is the eye contact. The water droplets are nicely freeze.

Nicely done, lovely shot. I like the composition as it is. Agree with Apana about the brightness.
