Nice photograph. It would have been good if you could have moved more to the right. That would have helped to avoid the pole in the background and the bird would have been facing you. Using a narrower aperture would have also helped. You have any more images with it perched on something natural? Thanks for sharing. Look forward to more.

Lovely bird. I agree a few whites are blown. I would have preferred a little more space near the top-left corner.
This one brings back lot of memories. The first time I saw this bird, I started chasing it to click to the utter amazement of my driver. :-) He said why do you want to click a common bird. For me it was pretty uncommon.
