These are complex creatures. Often feared, reviled, hated and killed. When we come to know that these creatures have remained virtually unchanged since prehistoric times and have survived, one gets a feeling of awe. Unfortunately, global warming is likely to seal their fate. Rise in incubation temperature, will affect the gender of the hatchlings.
