Dhole Chasing

This image is from my recent visit to Nagarhole National Park, India. This dhole (cuon alpinus) was chasing deers while its mate was injured. I am not sure how the pair will cope up with only one able hunter.

Hi Sabyasachi, I'm just back from Kabini and I too spotted a pair of Dholes. Probably this one with another with a limp in the right hind leg. The two seemed to be doing just fine.

Does anyone know what is the condition of dholes in Kanha?
I am just back from a trip there and I know they are rare there ,But the guides and drivers told me there are only seven being seen these days. We saw a pair this time and also one who is now solitary. I had seen none on my last trip 3-4 years back . but I remember seeing plenty of them 10 years ago on my first trip.
