Less space on the left and moving a bit to get better eye contact would have been nice.
In case of animals, they don't suffer from the sense of modesty that humans have. I have been asked by many people as to why animals don't mind mating infront of others. For them procreation is important as they want to pass on the genes to the next generation. It is not a hedonistic pleasure seeking behaviour.
They have the ability to control their birth. During years, when there is insufficient rains and forage is not readily available, there are fewer births.
