Nice image. The eye contact is good. I feel the tree is a bit dominant in the frame. Must have been extremely satisfying to watch it from such close quarters.

After rains, tigers move around their range and mark their territory by spraying scent, defecating etc. In this case, the tiger stopped near the tree to inspect ie to see if any one else has sprayed, or whether it's scent is still there or not etc.

The only thing I thought while composing this image, was whether to include more of the tree or not. That would have reduced the tiger in the frame. Hence this composition.

It was satisfying as I saw this tiger for some time. I have been missing him by whiskers for the last several months. Few times, I had seen him, walking away from the frame and didn't want to click. The other day gaurs were snorting at him, and it was hiding within the lantana. Saw him twice within a period of 45 mins. So it was a nice experience.

    Cheers,
    Sabyasachi

Lovely image Sabyasachi, the age of this tiger is 15+, he is quite old. But I am glad to see him quite healthy, the last time I had seen "Agaysta" he was injured.
