    Default Social Behaviour.

Licking among adults as social contact is a unique feature among Gaur ( among ungulates). Courting couples lick each other on the neck, shoulders and rump. Sometimes bulls lick each other- mostly subordinates lick others of higher rank.

Thats a very nice behaviour displaying image.

We see lots of animals, but are unaware what their behaviour indicates. Like this simple action, conveys so much.

Thanks, Vikram for letting us know and hoping we will be able to learn a lot more from your photos.
    Regards,
