    Default UnID'd caterpillar

Found this caterpillar in Karnala last weekend. Saw this species for the first time, and I've not been able to ID it yet. Any ID help appreciated...

Camera Model Name Canon PowerShot SX10 IS
    Shooting Mode Aperture-Priority AE
    Tv (Shutter Speed) 1/60
    Av (Aperture Value) 4.0
    Exposure Compensation -2
    ISO Speed 80
    Flash On
    Flash Exposure Compensation -2
    Shutter curtain sync 2nd-curtain
    White Balance Cloudy
    Cropped for a vertical composition.
I have sharpened the image a bit, but am not sure whether I've done the right amount of sharpening. Let me know what you feel.

    Thanks, C&C awaited.

The vertical composition looks good. I would have liked a bit less space in the bottom. A narrower aperture would have helped. The sharpening looks fine to me. Thanks for sharing.

I like your composition Abhishek. I agree that a bit less space at the bottom would have been nice. The dark background looks nice. The sharpening feels adequate to me. Thanks for sharing.

These caterpillars were plentifully available in the semi-evergreen forests of Anaimalais during February. They are so well camouflaged.

Not so sure about the identity though.

Not sure about id. I used to see these a lot during the childhood days.
