    Default Elephant charge

This is the same elephant that had charged in bandipur, images of which I had posted earlier. We had parked the vehicle with engine switched off. The first time it charged and stopped nearby and then had turned away. Within minutes it charged again and stopped even much closer. It was against the light and the dust blown up was huge.

Canon EOS 1D Mark II, Canon EF 300mm f4 L IS USM, ISO 200, f4, 1/640, full frame image.

    Cheers,

Different composition. The b/w treatment enhances the composition. The dust gives a different feel to the image. Thanks for sharing.

Looks like she was very close, the bw treatment work well. Why is it so black on the forehead?

    Praveen,
This was against the light. So the top left portion was in shadow. The elephant created a dust storm and we could hardly see its face. I slightly increased the contrast in post processing.

    seems very close....

you got the detailing on the skin so clearly.... the slight haze and the b/w treatment makes this a very strong pic....

    :-)
