The animal is bigger to be in the landscape category. Misty scenes work when the the subjects are smaller in the frame. You should have used 100mm instead of 190mm.

In fog scenes, depending upon the how dense the fog is, you have to over expose. It can be 2/3rd stops. You need to increase the brightness of this image. This appears dark
