Wow! Lovely image Mrudul, the sitting pose is nice. The details have come out well and the eye contact is good. Looks like you guys had a great time, where was this photographed?

Nice pose. The fellow is giving harsh looks. This was photographed in Valparai. These fellows come down to the road for some time when they are in the vicinity of the road.

    Cheers,

By sitting quietly in this death trap, many of these animals were (and still are) killed.
With tourism exploding manifold in Valparai resulting in terrible increase in the traffic, this troop's future is precarious as their home is hardly 1 sq.km (an isolated pocket of evergreen forest).

Valparai is fast becoming another Madikeri, Kodaikanal, Ooty and the likes with the influx of unimaginable number of non-serious tourists.

I shudder to even think as to how long the LTMs and Tahrs will remain in their vanishing home..

Very nice image Mrudul. The angle is nice. They often sit on the roads oblivious to the dangers of motorists around the corners. Thanks for sharing.

Here is a link portraying a similar situation...
