    Default Indian Roller

Photographed this at Hasserghatta last weekend. We find these a lot there, so couldn't resist to photograph .

    Canon 50D, 100-400mm L IS USM, f7.1, 1/2000, ISO 400, hand held

    Comments and critiques welcome..

Composiiton and eye contact is nice. You did well in keeping the branch and subject parallel to the frame, so the depth of field is adequate. These Indian rollers remain stationary and are a big help when you are testing a lens or camera. In other places, the Indian Rollers fly away as soon as you approach. I fondly remember how much I had crawled in bharatpur to get a Indian Roller in full frame with a 300mm lens and a film camera with slide film.

    Cheers,

Nice composition. I would prefer opening up of the shadows a bit more. The DOF seems fine. Thanks for sharing.

Nice image .The details and colours look good. I in turn mostly see them perched on wires.
