    Default Black-headed Ibis

A juvenile. This are big birds and enjoy feeding insect or small amphibians. I clicked this in Amboli in the paddy fields.

EOS 7D, 500mm f/4L + 1.4x, f/8, ISO 800, 1/1250, High ISO as I wanted to capture the flight shot but didn't succeed. Some highlight toning down in PS. C&C most welcome!

Nice details in the whites there. Wish the brown strip in the background were absent. not a deal breaker as it doesnt cut across the head. Thanks for sharing. You must be loving your new gun

One gets an idea about the habitat ie the birds are in the fields.

Due to the two brown strips at top and bottom, the attention goes to the bird. However, I think it would have been great if the brown strip at the top would have been a little up ie. slightly more space between the brown strip and the bird's head would have been better. May be a slightly higher angle would have helped.

The space at the top, may look superfluous now. However, if you want to put this image on a magazine cover, then the text at the top will take care of the space. Else, one needs to crop a bit from top.

Overall, nice image. Thanks for sharing.

    Cheers,
