    Default Purple Rumped Sunbird/Belgaum

Shot this in my garden at Belgaum residence. As you may these birds are quick, photographing such birds need higher shutter speed say 1/800 min. I was in the living room when I saw it and had to shoot it from the window.

Camera Model Canon EOS 7D, 100-400mm
    Tv( Shutter Speed ) 1/200
    Av( Aperture Value ) 5.6
    ISO 400
    Focal length 400mm
    Cropped
    Hand held

    Nice Shot Praveen,

the eye contact and the colors have come out well.
Agree that these birds are difficult to photograph.

    Cheers,

Lovely colours and eye contact. You got it nice in the open. A slight narrower aperture would have helped to get the tail in focus too. The details are nice. Thanks for sharing.

Nice shot Praveen but if this guy is visiting your garden then you can do much better in terms of BG & perch.

The eye contact is nice. The background would have come better with your 500mm at f4. You can also place a few plants at the right locations, to get a more greener and diffused background. Thanks for sharing.

Nice eye contact. You certainly have a lovely garden, with these birds coming in the details are very good ...only wish the tail was in focus!
