I tried a vertical composition in this one, to include more of the tree and to show exactly how it was curled up inside the tree trunk.
Canon 50D, 100-400mm L IS USM, ISO 500, f6.3, 1/8, hand held, full frame

This has come out well despite the 1/8th shutter speed. It would have been great if it would have raised its head a bit, unfortunately, that didn't happen.

Wow! Lovely image Mrudul, the vertical composition is good. With such low SS the image is exceptional. Great sighting of this rare species.
