    Default Jungle Cat

Photographed in Bandhavgarh Tala zone. While returning back from the morning safari, it was sighted near the main gate. The light was harsh and it was on a small hillock looking for prey. As it was against the light, it was a bit difficult to compose. My first sighting of a Jungle cat .

Congratulations It is not regularly that one gets to see them in the open...sad that the surroundings don't add much to the grace of the cat. But this image looks very fine, given the harsh light..wish there was a bit more head turn

Lovely shot Mrudul. Though the BG doesn't look perfect, you have done very well to control most of the highlights here... Given the conditions, very well captured.

It was indeed a pleasure watching the jungle cat. The lighting was tricky and the shadow and light areas were making life tough. Despite that this sighting will remain in memory for a long time.

    Cheers,
