A very common bird for this part of the country. But still posting as my first image here because I loved the colour of the sunlight on the bird. Taken at Kaikhali, on the banks of Matla near Sunderbans.

Great shot Sudipto. Can you please include exif details and post processing steps? Shot seems little soft, may be we can help suggesting some steps that can enhance the shot.

The lighting was tough. It was in shade and only its beak is lit by a ray of light. You have used spot metering and have given an exposure compensation of -1/3 EV.
In this case, when you did spot metering, the meter read the bright portion and tried to pull it down to a mid tone. So the image gets underexposed. On top of it, you have dialled in a negative exposure compensation. So the image appears dark. You can check the histogram of this image. It it mostly towards the left. That indicates under exposure.
