    Default Indian Peafowl

Shot this peafowl in Bandipur. The guy was around 20 feet away.

    Specs:
    Camera Model Canon EOS 7D
    Lens EF70-300mm f/4-5.6 IS USM
    Shooting Mode Aperture-Priority AE
    Tv( Shutter Speed ) 1/200
    Av( Aperture Value ) 6.3

Please let me know how this can be improved.

I would prefer a narrow aperture to increase the depth of field. A lot depends on the branch where the peacock is perched and the lighting. If there is enough separation between the branch and the background, then it will come clean.

    Cheers,

Nice shot Supreet, it is good that you managed to get the tail as well. Agree with comments made by Sabyasachi

The vertical composition looks nice. It is good that you could manage to get the tail feathers in full. The eye contact is good. What was the ISO? Overall nicely captured. Thanks for sharing.

Agree with comments made...the branch to the right top corner, apart from being useful for putting up your copyright info, frames the bird well
