Spitting Spider series (#2)

The 2nd image of the series. (Follows- Spitting Spider series (#1) - Indiawilds: Land of the Tiger. Conservation, Wildlife Photography, Communities)
In this image, the spider spits a liquid at the gnat. The liquid congeals on contact with the air to form a sticky, venomous mass. While firing the liquid, the spider sways from side to side, effectively throwing the thread in a zig-zag pattern, so that most the gnat is covered by the thread.
(The gnat on the left has already been killed.)

Pardon the noise, it is due to ISO 1600 plus a little further sharpening. Also slightly cropped.

Much much better than the first image. Lovely natural history moment.

There seems to be some noise in the BG, but guess you could have avoided it (in the sense that the noise would not be discernable) if you had composed with only the leaf fully covering the frame?

Bhargava: Thanks. It would have been difficult to compose with only the leaf as the BG without making the frame too tight. Besides, I didn't have much time to think before clicking . As far as noise is concerned, I see quite some noise on the leaf as well.
