    Default Melancholy..!

    Whenevr I see a langur, a feeling of melancholy takes over my thoughts. Probably it is the dull shades of grey and the pattern of how the mouth is shaped responsible for this!

    canon 60D,canon 100-400 L IS USM, shot at kabini
    f6.3, 1/100sec, ISO 800, EV +0.3, 330mm, eval metering, full-frame, untouched except for saturation and sharpness

    Good job with the exposure. Nice eye contact. A higher SS would have been good, but you were already at ISO 800. Personally, I would have zoomed all the way out to include the tail, but I suppose you wanted a closeup to show the facial expressions.
    Strange thought about the melancholy feeling... maybe you are comparing them to the much, much bolder macaques? (Unfair )

    I agree with the composition. Am wondering why the background below the langur looks brighter than the top portion?

    No idea really. May be a difference in the color of leaves? Something to do with metering? I hadn't observed the surrounding while making the picture

    Nice pose and eye contact. The details and the expressions add to the image. What is the hint of leaf on the right just above the branches. Thanks for sharing.

    Wonderful Shot. The colours have come out very well. Fantastic eye contact. Loved the intencity in the look, looks very focused. What was it looking at?
