The telephoto lens I use is no good for macros. Nonetheless, butterflies are too tempting to keep away from!

Very nice, Bhargava. I like the environment. Nice colours in the image. I agree that Lime Butterflies are very tempting to shoot . Telephoto lenses actually work great for butterflies, since many of them are too skittish to approach with a true macro lens. I used to shoot a lot of butterflies with the long zoom on my Canon Powershot SX10 (I still use it occasionally). Haven't tried many butterfly shots with the 100mm.

Hi.. Bhargava I like this image, nice shot..For me front blur grass is little distracting. but overall nice enviroment as Abhishekh says. TFS..
The habitat is nice. Good colours. Maybe placing it a bit higher in the frame would have been good. Thanks for sharing.

I agree with Abhishek. It is not easy to chase butterflies with a 100mm as some of then fly away even before you are a few meters away. I like the colours. Some more space at the bottom would have been better composition wise, but I am not sure if the background would be well diffused. Thanks for sharing.
