    Default Sidhbaba Cub

Made this picture in Bandavgarh - May 2010
Sighting of the 2 cubs were very common that season. We were lucky to see them through out our visit.

    Neil,
Nice pose. The texture on the rock is good and comes out well in black and white.

I think a higher depth of field would have been good here, as the rock is in focus along with the fore paws. To cover the head within the depth of field, you need to use a narrow aperture. Since you were using ISO 250, you could have bumped up the ISO to get f8/f11.

    Cheers,

Lovely pose. The eye contact is striking. The backlit hair look good. The textures on the rock look nice. I liked the vertical composition. Agree a higher shutter speed and a narrower aperture would have been nice. Did you try any close-ups as the focal length was 285 here. Thanks for sharing.

I like the vertical frame. I wish you had moved the camera a bit to the right so as to include more of the tiger. Agree with comments about the image being a tad soft.

tfs..look forward to more from this sighting.
