    A bird of prey that can be a mean killing machine. Shot early morning in rainy conditions.
    f5.6, 1/80sec, ISO 1250, EV 0, 400mm, cropped, eval metering.
    canon 60D, canon 100-400 L IS USM, shot in kabini.

    Beautiful one.I am yet to photograph this species.Nice perch & eye contact.Good job done in difficult condition.Thanks for sharing.

    Not sure about the descriptions - butcher and mean killing machine.

    Haven't seen one with a snake for a long time. I like the eye contact. Did you click this from the boat or from top of the vehicle? Thanks for sharing.

    Sabyasachi,

    I called it a mean killing machine because we saw it kill a snake. Unfortunately, the light was low and the action too quick for me to be able to manage a decent image. This was shot from a vehicle.
