Nice image. Did you make images at a slightly higher ISO? Handheld at 1/125sec is very impressive.

I think I used ISO 400 later. Have to check. This was the first shot and then later I added a 2x TC and shot from the top of my Safari using a bean bag. I find that the bare 400mm f2.8 L IS USM lens is briefly handholdable. However, when I attach the 2xII TC, it becomes really unweildy and difficult to handhold.

I like the inclusion of habitat here. The lighter morph of the Crested Hawk Eagle aka Changeable Hawk Eagle blends well with the surroundings here. Thanks for sharing.
