    Shot at lotus pond, hyderabad.

    Very nice idea. I like the composition here, but would also think about getting the turtle a little higher up in the frame. The whites look blown, maybe this would look better in soft golden light.

    (British English, which is used in India, refers to these animals as "terrapins". "Turtle" is used for members of this group that live exclusively in the sea.)

    Thanks Abhishek. Will keep that suggestion in mind and try some more compositions as I keep visiting this place often. I actually didn't know what to call it, so called it turtle!

    No. These aren't pets. I wouldn't post images of any captive being after being on the forum for a year now

    Agree about the composition. The patterns in the water look nice. Looks like there is a fish (?) on its right. Thanks for sharing.
