Ranthambhore:Welcome by a leopard at the entrance

Early in the mornings, at times one can find the leopard. It is quiet far for a photograph. One needs atleast a 600mm focal length. However, its always exciting watching the leopard. I don't have a single leopard image from Ranthambhore. :-(

Since you are based in tata, how is the dalma hills now?

Respected Sir, I am not enough informed about Dalma forest so as to throw any light regarding your query. A few times I have just travelled by the road that passes through the jungle during my journey to and from Ranchi. Regards and respect...Indranil Panigrahi

Nice you sighted a leopard on entering the jungle. How was your tiger sighting in that trip? Thanks for sharing.

Respected Madam,
During this visit in 2004,I was very fortunate to have sighted a tigress from close quarters and took a couple of photographs.One of them has been uploaded on 22.10.2011(My first snap of a tiger) .During my second visit to Ranthambhore in 2009, I was again lucky to see one collared tiger from a distance in the morning.Another tigress was sighted in the afternoon.One of its photos has been uploaded on 17.10.2011(Quenching Thirst).
I propose to upload a few more photos of both of them after scanning.
