    Nice to see a pair of collared scops owl. You could have tried to use a higher ISO so as to get a higher shutter speed, just to get some decent pictures, and later try your skills at lower shutter speeds

    Cute pair. Seems the light was quite low. It becomes tough to shoot at more than ISO 500 in 50D, I am aware as I too use 50D . Using a tripod or a support would have been good as the shutter speed was quite low. As the birds were steady you could have tried to rest the camera and click. Thanks for sharing.

    Light seems to be pretty low. Did you click this early in the morning. I agree that a support like a bean bag, tripod or monopod would have been better.

    it was about 6.30 in the morning with dense fog. the visibility was less than 3 mtrs and was biting cold. it was very difficult to hold camera by hand and click. thanks for your suggestion.
