    Default Sambar Deers.....Gavi

    These deers were higher up in the grasslands and were looking intendly at something which we were not aware.They were little far off for my 250mm lens(max)......

    Canon 400D,55-250IS,ISO 1600,1/640,f22,cropped

    Praveen this place is somewhat between the Sabraimala shrine and Thekkady and falls within the Periyar Tiger Reserve.Iam finishing a blog on my trip to this place and soon provide the link for more details.

    Nice display of habitat. Seems they were alarmed because of some predator. I think a wider aperture instead of using f22 and a slight lower shutter speed (maybe around 1/200) would have sufficed in this scenario as the light was low, and also using a lesser ISO would have reduced the background noise. Thanks for sharing.

    The small herd is trying to distinguish between normal and suspicious sounds, here they are using their sense of hearing predominently,in my view.A good behavorial photo with habitat.Thanks for sharing.SaktiWild
