    Default River Kingfisher

According to Wikipedia, the common kingfisher is actually the eurasian kingfisher or river kingfisher. Though some of us also call it small blue kingfisher, the name is confined to India and the small blue variety is actually the cerulian kingfisher which is found only in Indinesia

Nice perch and eye contact. Is this from the same series you posted earlier? Reducing the sharpening would be good. Thanks for sharing the information.

    Mrudul,

This is from the same series in which I had posted a couple of images with head turn a few weeks ago. I was going thorugh the images from tadoba and found this interesting, so decided to post

    Suraj,

No work on the BG here. On indiawilds, the general practice is to mention any special processing done, and I always stick to that. So, if nothing's been mentioned, you could take it that it was just the normal processing of levels/curves, brightness/contrast/saturation, sharpness, and noise reduction once in a while.

    Cheers
    Bhargava
