I was quite lucky to get this shot. I had a Tamron 70-300mm lens whose auto-focus doesn't work. So when the bird took off I just clicked 3 pictures. This was the best one of the lot.

Good to see you back. I am happy that you clicked this one. At times there is no time to change the settings. So one should try and fire a shot or two where there are some interesting action. In case of a bird, one can prefocus on an area and together with a narrow aperture, the depth of field can be ok while clicking such shots.
