    A grassland funnel-web spider (Hippasa sp.) shot in Cotigao WLS last year.

    Canon 500D, 100mm Macro USM
    Mode Aperture-Priority AE
    Tv 1/200
    Av 8.0
    EC -1
    ISO 800
    Flash fired (flash EC = 0)
    Cropped from the top and bottom for a wide composition. No other major changes from the RAW.

    The water droplets(?) on the web give a nice look. Its good that you got the spider in the center opening. Nicely captured. Thanks for sharing.

    Thanks both. Yes Roopak, these can be commonly seen in the grass, often noticeable in large numbers in the grass along the sides of safari tracks.

    Nice image Abhishek. The web around the spider looks lovely and so are the drops of water. The water drops resemble diamonds especially like the ones that used to be traded for the hero's family in old hindi movies.
