this insect was shot using 7D+ 100mm 2.8 L IS USM macro at f/2.8, 1/6000, flash compulsory, fl 100mm, WB manual, tripod support. unstable subject, it took me more than half an hour to nail it. ID not known.

yes a cropped image. it was bright sunny day so i put iso 320. thanks.

The flash doesn't sync at higher shutter speeds. So better to switch it off. Not sure about id. Abhishek - our resident expert - should be of help.
